It gives us great pleasure to introduce ourselves and our (non-profit) organization, Green Roots Bali. You may be wondering why Bali? Why this one tiny island out of thousands? The answer lies in our heritage, our DNA. My brother and I are of Balinese descent. Our family has deep roots in the village of Sading, where they have lived for generations. For us, Bali is not just a destination but a cherished heritage, a sacred land, and a way of life. It is our calling to preserve and protect it.
The island's rich traditions, sacred temples, and harmonious way of life are the fabric of our souls. Preserving Bali's natural beauty is essential; not just for the environment, but also for safeguarding the spiritual essence that makes Bali unique. Green Roots Bali is our heartfelt response to protect the cultural and spiritual essence that truly makes Bali one of a kind.
Our mission is to clean up and protect Bali's pristine beaches, marine life, and villages as a tribute to our ancestors, the community, and the traditions that have shaped our lives. We know environmental stewardship goes hand in hand with cultural preservation, believing that a clean, healthy environment sustains the spiritual harmony of Balinese culture.
This project is a gesture of profound gratitude to the culture, the island, and the Balinese people. We are blessed to be part of such a beautiful, spiritually rich place. We are fully committed to this mission so current and future generations can experience the same beauty and spiritual connection enjoyed by their ancestors. Green Roots Bali stands as a testament to our bond with the island. We pledge to nurture its natural beauty and cultural vibrancy and demonstrate our most profound respect for the land that has given us so much.
Through our work, we hope to inspire others to join us in this sacred mission—to protect and cherish Bali for all it is and represents.
